Ignorance with confidence

I know nothing about ballet. When I think about ballet, it feels like I don’t know anything about it. There’s another kind of ignorance that isn’t so obvious to its owner. There’s a type of ignorance where the person who has no idea about something feels quite confident that they understand it completely. This lack of knowledge is different enough that it needs its own word. A word that describes not knowing something while simultaneously feeling like you understand it thoroughly.
